Art Slideshow!

I have a hard time with winter. Ok, I’ll admit it, I have a hard time with depression. During the winter of 2006, I decided to giving painting a try. I had been watching Bob Ross video’s on You Tube and thought it looked like something I could try.
My husband bought me an easel and the Master Painting set from Bobross.com and on January 1, 2007 I tried my first painting. I was really scared, but I did it anyway.
I start out every painting feeling scared and like I can’t do a thing and then, with the soft, encouraging voice of my mentor, Bob Ross, playing in my mind, something happens and suddenly, it’s my world and I can do anything I want to do.
Since then, I have painted a lot. Here are some of my favorite paintings, I’ll add more as I do them.
Here’s another slide show with some other images:

bob ross rocks!
I loved his shows growing up… “Draw a happy tree!”
He’s one of the reasons I became a graphic designer! your mountain range in the blue tones looks like something I did many, many years ago!
If you can’t afford his books (which are crazy expensive ’cause they are full colour), you can go to the library and get them out there too.
I’d like to get back into painting sometime sooner than later… I suffer super bad from depression too (the last few days have been bad) but - usually I just pick up a brush or pencil and my worries seem to melt away until I get relaxed enough to do whatever it is I should really be doing other than art, hehe…
keep up the good work!
