Right now I am stumped. Here is what I have been working on the past several hours. I just don’t know if the cottage fits in. I am going to have to work on it some more. I like the trees a lot, but this cottage is giving me fits. It seems so BIG for this painting.

Here is an water soluble oil painting that I finished just hours before riding to the hospital last week:

This also shows the flowers that I have started painting on my kitchen vines. More to come on that. The painting is crooked, but until it dries fully, it has to remain crooked. Drives me nuts!

Here is this morning’s painting. I painted over another old painting and used some of the underlying texture of the (former) mountains to accent the sky with lightning. It just kind of popped out to me and as you look at it in person, you can see dimension to the lightning. You may be able to click on it to get a larger image of it, to see the detail.

The visit with my sister is going well, we had a nice time last night and tonite for dinner, I think I will make breakfast for dinner, how does that sound?

Right now I have five canvasses prepped to paint on. I thought they were junk because I tried to oil paint on them and the paint would not move right. The canvas was too rigid. But turns out it’s just right for acrylic. So all these things that have been in my head can come out now. One of the canvasses is a nice big 2 foot by 3 foot one. It makes me hot just thinking about it!
