I am 43 and have six kids. Three of my kids are grown up, my oldest, Kim is a mom of a baby boy and she’s in the army. Rick has a baby girl and lives nearby. The next one, Andy, has a wicked case of schizophrenia and lives in a group setting. I was a divorced mom for 13 years and then remarried.
My next three children are Jon, Charlie and Rachel. Jon is nine, Charlie, who has autism is seven and Rachel is four. I stay at home with the little ones and do a lot of painting and a little housework. Very little housework, actually. I have a wonderful husband and live in the middle of nowhere.
I am a run of the mill ordinary person who happens to like to run off at the mouth. Some days I just collapse in exhaustion. Sometimes I get pretty down, especially in the winter. I love comments, so feel free to write back. Thanks.
Added later: as of May, 2008, we learned that we are expecting an addition to our family! Another baby, can you believe it?
